Amani

Amani is a song from Kenya and stands for brotherhood. We like to sing about that, with songs that give a little party, brotherhood, love and silence in your heart.
We, the Wagenings Volkooren together with the friendship orchestra Klefor from Germany, will perform Amani in the Bevrijdingskerk in Wageningen, Saturday 2 November at 3:00 PM.

Wagenings Volkooren, led by conductor Gerard Schoren, has the tradition of organizing a concert in the fall. We will perform part of our repertoire, including new songs. This year we have supplemented our world song repertoire with folk music from Columbia, Andalusia, Turkey and Kenya.

In this concert the orchestra Klefor accompanies a number of our songs. In addition the Wagenings Volkooren sings a-capella and Klefor provides an instrumental part.
During the concert break there will be a pleasant get-together, with a snack and a drink.
Afterwards (approx. 17:00) there will be an opportunity to talk to choir and orchestra members.
